Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Morning departure at 08:00 from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech to cross the High Atlas Mountains. After the Tichka pass, you leave the main road and take a side road to the Telouet Kasbah, which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas, the Glaoui family, and which now stands in ruins after the last Pasha left the country. From there you continue for lunch to Ait Ben Hadou along the newly asphalted road. This is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, which we visit after lunch. Later we continue to Ouarzazate to spend the night in a riad.


Day 2: Ouarzazate to Tingher ( Todra Gorge )

After breakfast, we will travel towards Skoura where we will visit Kasbah Amridil, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the 1000 kasbahs”. The road will then lead us through the Rose Valley where we will pause in Kelaat M’Gouna. Later on we are heading in the direction of Boulmane and we will reach Tinghir which lies in the center of one of the most attractive oases in southern Morocco and close to some fabulous canyons. Arriving at the Todra Gorges, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, there will be ample leisure time to walk around the village while enjoying the Todra River and picturesque views.


Day 3: Tingher to Merzouga ( Desert Dunes)

After breakfast we will be departing from Todra gorge, 30 minutes away from Tinghir valley. We will be heading towards the desert of Merzouga through Tinjdad, Erfoud with its famous fossilized marble and Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Once we get at the feet of the dunes we will start riding camels for about 50 minutes to reach the bivouac at the center of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then we enjoy the sunset with some lovely Berber mint tea. Dinner in the camp and overnight in Nomad tent.

Desert Camp:

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Agdz – Ouarzazate

After enjoying sunrise in the desert we go back by camels to the hotel. After breakfast and having taken a shower in the hotel we start our journey to Ouarzazate through Berber villages such as Alnif , Tazzarine and Agdz and drive along the beautiful Draa valley. We arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening.


Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we first visit the film studios just outside the city. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest pass in Morocco, the Tizni Tichka with its altitude of 2260m. This drive offers impressive views of the valleys, mountains and many Berber villages. We will arrive in Marrakech in evening.
