Booking a traditional riad in the old city of Marrakech is a great location for a city break. In the old historic part of the city, the heart of the city, you have the opportunity to discover traditional Moroccan accommodations. The city center can always be very busy, as many cultural activities take place on the main plain. Medina consists of a maze of streets full of colorful local shops where you can buy all kinds of local products and where there are usually a lot of people. Although Riad is usually an ideal sanctuary to escape from the hustle and bustle of Medina, it can also be considered an oasis of calm. There you can relax on the terrace and listen to the birds chirping in the shade of the orange trees. Plus, staying in a traditional Marrakech riad is the perfect way to discover local hospitality and wellness-inspiring spa treatments. You will also be spoiled with delicious tea and snacks. There are also beautiful modern hotels with great amenities in the palm grove of Marrakech.

Is staying in a riad in Marrakech better than staying in a hotel?

Personally, I would choose to stay overnight in Riad rather than in a hotel. Although the roads are always smaller and in the middle of the old towns.

Is staying in a riad in Marrakech better than staying in a hotel?

These are great places to stay as they offer an excellent Moroccan experience and comfort. Riad is known as a great property for displaying intricate and well-detailed Moroccan architecture. Just like in the old medinas, you can see the beauty of the charming Moroccan atmosphere everywhere you look.

So staying in Riad is better, offering peace and quiet in an enchanting oasis, compared to a modern hotel.

Looking for excellent accommodation in Marrakech? Then skip a hotel stay as usual and go for a Riad. A visit to the city of Marrakech is not complete without an overnight stay in one of the great riads with a covered terrace, swimming pool, and colorful garden. Not only that, but Moroccan riads are also architecturally so special and chic. There are also two options to choose from standard and deluxe. If you visit both, you will see that there is a big difference.
