Marrakech Trekking Morocco Overview

When you make a trekking with us you discover the amazing landscapes of Jbel Saghro, an intriguing scenery. On all trekkings donkeys accompany us and they carry the baggage. Likewise, a guide and a cook are available for you. Tents are accommodated in this multi-day trekkings. After completing your journey, we can arrange transportation to Marrakech. Our Marrakech trekkings start from your accommodation in the red city to the high mountains of the south-east of Morocco. You travel with an expert team who has a great experience and who are acquainted with the area.

The price of Marrakech trekking is 75 euro per person per day. The trekking should have more than 2 persons to start the trip. Make sure you bring following items: hiking shoes, camera (optional), sun hat and sunglasses.

Day 1: Marrakech – N’kob

The Marrakech trekking departs at 08:00 am from your hotel in Marrakech to Ouarzazate by minibus; spectacular crossing over the High Atlas. Lunch break at Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and we continue to N’kob. We are now in a beautiful part of Djebel Saghro via the Tizi Ait Saoun and descend into the famous Valley of the Draa (the largest palm groves in Morocco, more than 4 million palm trees). Night in a Berber house in the village of N’kob.

Day 2: N’kob – Tiguiza

At 7:00 am you will have a varied breakfast that the cook prepared for you. There is coffee, mint tea, jam, honey, cheese, butter and warm bread. After breakfast, we meet our team and the carriers who are transporting our luggage, our camping equipment and food during our hike. All you have to carry yourself is your small backpack containing personal belongings and necessities for a day; sunscreen, water bottle, raincoat…etc.

Then we leave from the village N’kob in the morning at 08:00. We cross a plateau surrounded by peaks to the oasis of Hanedour. Break in an oasis under the palm trees; some dried fruit snacks give us the strength to continue our walk. We continue in the Hanedour Valley to the palm trees where the cook is waiting for us. We first used a refreshing mint tea and then we take our lunch. We will taste very good salads prepared with fresh ingredients, cheese, sausage, eggs and fresh fruit.

In the afternoon, after 2 hours of walking, we arrive at the bivouac, near impressive rock formations where our team has already set up the tents. After tea, you have enough time to have cooking lessons from our Moroccan chef-cook or play an instrument with the team. After a beautiful sunset over the Jebel Saghro, dinner is ready. Every night we arrange traditional Moroccan menus: tagine, couscous, harira soup. During the meal, it’s an opportunity to brief you on the next step, we will answer your questions and talk about the Jebel Saghro and the country, its culture, nature, mountains, and people. Overnight in tents at Tiguiza. Walking hours: 6:30

Day 3: Tiguiza – Canyon Berkou

On this day we will walk about 5:30 hour and admire different landscapes. Overnight in tents at the canyon at 1600m in Berkou

Day 4: Canyon Berkou – Tadaout N’Tablah

Walking through the canyon Berkou, climbing a small pass at 1960m and lunch break at Iguli.
Overnight in tents at Tadaout N’Tablah.

Day 5: Tadaout N’Tadlah – Bab N’ali

We leave Tadaout Ntablah to reach the massive cliffs of Bab Nali 1620m. In the afternoon descent to the bivouac at 1563m. Overnight in tents in front of the Bab Nali.

Day 6: Bab N’ali – Marrakech

Early morning, the vehicle is ready and we separate from our helpful team.
5 hours drive to get back to Marrakech by Nkob. We pass by the Tizi N’Tichka 2260m to reach the red city  Marrakech in the afternoon.
