On the way, you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. We will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan riad. Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fez After breakfast at your accommodation, our journey begins towards Volubilis through the city of Ouazzane and other northern rural villages. In Volubilis, we discover the best-preserved Roman ruins and learn about the history of this archaeological site. After visiting the ruins, we head to the 17th-century city of Meknes where we stop for lunch and visits. The city is famous for its old medina and the huge historical walls of the city including Bab El Mansour and Moulay Ismail. You will spend the night in a riad in the Medina of Fez. Day 3 : Fes – Midelt – Merzouga The trip to Merzouga is a pretty long journey, we start the trip very early from Fes to Merzouga village, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing by Ifrane. This city is known by Moroccans as the small Switzerland of Morocco. We will have a stop here and also in the next villages for a photo stop. Then we drive further direction Midelt where we have a lunch break before continuing the journey to the valley of Ziz to arrive in the end of the day at the sand dunes. The night will be in a camp in Berber tents in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara desert. We also wil have a camel ride around the camp and enjoy the sunset from the top of sand dunes of Merzouga. Day 4 : Merzouga – Dades Valley Getting up early to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes. This place is ideal to make great pictures. After breakfast, we drive from Merzouga towards the valley of the Dades known as the valley of 1000 Kasbahs, passing by Erfoud where you may visit a marble manufacturing factory where they make tables and alternative handicrafts. On the way, we will have the opportunity to enjoy views of the green oasis full of palm trees and visit the Todgha Gorge in Tinghir. The steep walls of the Todra gorge are 300 meters high. After a short walk, we continue our trip to the Dades Gorge. Overnight in a guesthouse where you have the occasion to share some of the traditions of Berbers. This would be the best opportunity. Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech After breakfast, we will travel to the oasis of Skoura through the valley of roses which is famous for growing roses, it offers wonderful scents in the month of May. Here you can enjoy beautiful landscapes. We continue our journey to the fortified Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1987. Many famous movies have been filmed here, such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy. Later we will travel through Tizi Ntishka, at the top of the mountains we will stop to admire the scenery and take pictures. Finally, we arrived in Marrakesh. Dinner and overnight. Day 6 and 7: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Tanger A cultural tour day in Marrakech after the nature days in the desert. This city offers historical places to visit and gives you an idea about the origins of Morocco and the different tribes that lived there. The first attraction is Jamaa El-Fna Square. It used to be a normal central market. Today it is a tourist attraction with traditional music and dancers and snake charmers and many stalls selling fresh orange juice. In the afternoon of day 7, we cross the highway to Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque and then continue to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. We spend the night in Tangier.
