The most ideal well-known cultural spot for your short three-day trip is Marrakesh and the surrounding area. Since you are only in Marrakech for 3 days, you can at least get a taste of Morocco and try different activities, such as a visit to the highest waterfalls in North Africa. Things to do in Marrakech in one day Discovering the city of Marrakech - City trip The medina is the old part of Marrakech with small busy streets. You can enter this old town from the grandeur square of Djemma el-Fna, where you can see almost half of the locals congregating. In the evenings, people hang out with traditional musicians, open-air theaters, random acrobats, and snake charmers. Once you are in the medina you will feel like you are back in time in a different way. A visit to Marrakech's medina is sure to be an experience full of colorful local life. The best time to visit Djemaa el-Fna square and the medina is after midday around 4:00 pm. Of course, it is better to visit other attractions in the city in the morning, such as Jardin Majorelle. Jardin Majorelle is one of the most popular places in the city that can be visited (entry is not free). This is a 12-acre botanical garden considered to be an artist's paradise. Jardin Majorelle was created by Jacques Majorelle, a French painter. Over time, the Botanical Garden was bought by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in the 1980s and restored. The Jardin Majorelle has a small museum that focuses on Berber culture. "Since my arrival in Marrakech in 1966, I have remained fascinated by Berber art and culture." -Pierre Bergé Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace are other great places worth visiting. You can also enjoy the Koutoubia mosque architecture from the outside, as the mosque is still used for worship, and non-Muslims are not allowed inside.
