5 Day Erg Chebbi and Fez Trip

Day 1: Marrakech- the Atlas Mountains-Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura.
From Marrakech our driver will take you to the South heading towards the famous Atlas Mountains. You will be able to see amazing scenery around the mountains. The most interesting spot is probably the Tizi n’Tichka pass which will be visited as a lunch stop. It is considered as the highest mountain pass in North Africa. Its highest point reaches 2,260 meters above sea level. From the Tizi n’Tichka pass, we continue to the main road located between Marrakech and Sub-Saharan Africa. On our way, you will be able to see and visit interesting spots such as old Kasbah and The Ounila Valley at Telouet. After that, Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site will offer historical architecture which takes you to the ancient Moroccon period. The next destination is Skoura and a nice place to spend the night.
Day 2: Skoura -Todra Gorge- Tinghir
From Skoura we head towards a canyon which offers spectacular views and challenging experiences, namely the Todra Gorge. The trip continues to Tinghir which provides exciting landscapes. Arriving at Tinghir for a night stay, the visitors will spend the time in one of the most popular and exciting oases in Morocco.
Day 3: Tinghir -Erg Chebbi – the Sahara desert.
On the way to Merzouga, the visitors can visit and explore the oasis towns Erfoud and Rissani. At arrive in Merzouga, the trip to Sahara will begin. Erg Chebbi, one of two most famous Moroccan ergs, is situated in an area of sand dunes, far away from streets and crowd. We will set up camp for a night stay. You can also experience camel trek in the sand dunes and enjoy your meal near a campfire.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Midelt.
After staying in the Sahara desert, our trip will be continued to Midelt through Merzouga. The road to Midelt provides panoramic views of the high Atlas Mountains. Used as gold and silk trading spot in the past, Midelt now functions as rest spot for travelers. There are also some restaurants and souvenir shops nearby which provide complete facilities and services.
Day 5: Midelt – Azrou & Ifrane -Fez
After leaving Midelt, we will cross the Middle Atlas Mountain enjoying different architecture and landscapes of Morocco. The first town we encounter is Azrou. This town is located in a beautiful area which looks greener and livelier than previous areas we have been before. Then we will go directly to the second town, Ifrane. We can see and enjoy amazing scenery of evergreen and pine trees during our way to Ifrane. Besides, the town itself also provides unique scenery of architecture. We may notice the slanted roofs and different style of housing. Irfane is said to be famous among many tourists because of its alpine-like style resorts. Another drive will bring us into Fez.
