First day: Trip from Marrakesh to Dades Gorge
The Sahara Desert tour starts at 08:00 from your hotel or hotel in Marrakech, heading southeast to cross the High Atlas Mountains. After the Tizi n’Tichka pass, you leave the main road and take a side road to the village of Telouet to visit the Kasbah which was a former residence of the Glaoui Family Residence. The valley we are driving through was an important road for the caravans of traders. We continue along the stunningly beautiful road to Ait Ben Haddou where we have lunch. This is the most famous fortified Kasbah in Southern Morocco and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. After lunch, we visit the Kasbah. This has been used as a backdrop for many Hollywood films. Then to Ouarzazate or African Hollywood as many actors call this small city. Drive along the Valley of the Roses, then to Dades Valley by the road of 1000 kasbah to get to our hotel in Dades Gorge.

Second day: Trip from Dades Gorge to Merzouga desert
Departure from the Dades Valley heading to the Todgha Gorge which is one of the famous natural gorges in North Africa. Here you will go on a one-hour hike, where you will also have the opportunity to meet nomad people who fetch water in the gorge. After lunch, we cross many Berber villages to reach the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi for a wonderful experience. You will benefit from a splendid sunset, a sky full of stars, and sunrise on the tops of the dunes near the camp where you will spend the night in Berber tents.

Third-Day: Trip from Merzouga to Draa Valley and Marrakech
After breakfast departure from Merzouga towards the Ouest, passing Rissani to arrive in N’Kob, the village of 45 kasbahs, where you have a break for lunch and from where you have a splendid view over the village. Continue the way to cross the north part of Draa valley which is considered to be the longest one in Morocco with its 240 km of palm gardens and villages. The good quality of the dates is exported all over Morocco. At the end of the day, we cross the Atlas Mountains again to arrive in Marrakesh.

Our driver, Zohir, met us at 8:00 AM in Marrakech, ready to embark on our adventure. We drove to Ouarzazate, stopping almost every hour or two to soak in the sights and experiences along the way. Our accommodation for the night was in the Dades Gorge—a very clean and comfortable hotel where we enjoyed a fantastic dinner.
One of the highlights of our journey was visiting a Berber village. It was fascinating to explore their culture and traditions, and we were warmly welcomed with tea by a local family. After leaving the village, we finally arrived in the Sahara. This part of the trip was truly the highlight. We had ample time to relish the vast sand dunes and even enjoyed a camel ride. The experience was surreal.
In the evening, we gathered at the campsite where we were treated to a delightful dinner. The night was filled with singing, dancing, and stargazing. Watching the sunset and sunrise from the dunes was magical.
The tour was excellent and offered incredible value. Our guides were helpful and eager to answer questions, providing insightful information throughout the trip. I highly recommend this tour!
