For lunch we stop in the village Arhbalou where there is a choice of nice restaurants next to the river.
If you visit the Ourika valley on Monday you can also visit the market at Tnine Douar de l’Ourika where berbers from the mountain villages sell and buy their local products and handicrafts, such as lanterns, carved furniture and colored glass. Explore the Ouzoud waterfalls in the Middle Atlas Mountains on a full-day sightseeing tour from Marrakech. Spot some wildlife, enjoy panoramic views over the gorge and have lunch on one of the terraces overlooking the falls.
The cascades are located in the Middle Atlas Mountains about 170 km from Marrakech. They are the highest and most beautiful cascades from Morroco. The decay reaches just over 110 meters. They provide a beautiful picture with the sound of falling water. In the spring, when the cascades significantly increase by the melting water from the High Atlas, these waterfalls are the most spectacular.
You first view the falls from above and enjoy the panorama over the gorge. Then you walk down along the path under the shade of olive trees. There might be a chance to spot some wild barbary apes and birds. The gorge below the fall is an endless series of pools in the limestone rocks which are ideal for swimming.
You can have lunch in one of the small terraced restaurants at the edge of the cascades.
On the way back to Marrakech we stop at Imi Ifri, a natural bridge over a gorge which was formed 1.8 million years ago. Through a zigzag path you can walk to the bottom of the gorge where the river flows.
